Curious Little Folk Art Carved Figure on Antique Receipt Post antique wooden geese and the box seems stillA super curious and resourcefully 'make do' little thing! The post stand I believe is a Victorian era cast iron receipt punch holder, which clearly inspired the creation of the carved figure, the heart of which it pierces right through. It seems, based one some paint loss on the feet of the figure and overall patina, that it was made quite a long time ago, but I'm not completely certain. But I think it's quite a wonderful little thing, with the shape
