I like how the lettering plays across the combination of matte red paint and shiny tin surface

which I'll continue to scoop up as I think they're really a lovely

and then the lush dark green strokes and swirls on top of it

Braille Alphabet Cards, School of the Blind, Watertown, MA c. 1940s - Sold Individually mid-century vase Longest one: 4 7/8" longI've never learned braille but these make me want to, and I think hanging one on the wall where one would see it all the time would prompt one, often, to imagine how it would be to experience the world without sight. Which for me at least stimulates both empathy and imagination. And, perhaps ironically, I find these, in their very 1940s or so institutional manner, very visually satisfying.
