How to help

How can you support The Heron?

Friends of the Heron
In November 2016, we launched ‘Friends of the Heron’. This replaces ‘Christchurch Village Resource Centre’ as our ‘umberella’ organisation, as we felt that this name had become misleading to people, and no longer reflected what we are about. Friends of the Heron is an informal group which will usually meet twice a year to provide feedback on how the magazine is going, and to help with future plans. It will also provide a management committee to oversee the work of ‘Heron Publications’ – the constitution can be read here

We would like as many of you as possible to sign up to become members, especially if you are already connected with the Heron on the delivery team, or as a contributor. If you are interested, Please contact us at editor@theheron.info

Delivery Team
If you live in the Christchurch, Euiximoor or Tipps End area, then you will have your Heron delivered by one of our team of volunteers. We are always happy to hear from anyone else who would like to join the team, even if only to provide cover while people are on holiday. To find out more, please call our delivery coordinator, on 01354 638 478

Subscriptions
Subscriptions to the Heron are available to those people living outside our current delivery area for a fee of £27 per year. For further information and to receive a form please telephone Elaine on 01354 638310 or email adverts@theheron.info.

Donations
The Heron is delivered free to houses in Christchurch, Euximoor and Tipps End .We receive revenues from advertisers, occasional fundraising events and donations from readers. We often receive ‘one off’ donations, while others donate regularly by standing order. We are very grateful for all these gifts, which are a great encouragement to us, as well as helping us to improve the magazine, and to make us more financially secure.

Thank you for all your support so far!

Please email on adverts@theheron.info if you contribute this way to let us know.

AND THANK YOU!
